How to become and act as a leader

During Module “Leadership”, sports business leaders learn to manage themselves and others effectively, and to thus boost the chances of projects and initiatives resulting in success. In a first step, fundamental leadership skills are imparted and self-reflection encouraged, among others using a profiling test. Learning concepts such as group coaching, team simulations and guest presentations allow students to discern personal preferences, principles and styles first-hand, and enable the definition of a personal “Purpose of Action” plan. This will serve the further development of personal leadership skills and enable to prioritize activities of colleagues as well as leading staff without direct authority.

Sample questions:

  • What does leadership mean for me personally and how do I manage myself?
  • Why do I wish to be a leader and why should others allow themselves to be led by me?
  • How can I learn from the best how to lead effectively?
